Home Matters to Arizona
Arizona is in need of as many as 270,000 additional homes, as the state’s housing problem becomes a crisis. Of the 270,000 home shortage, over 50% are extremely low income.
Phoenix alone is the 15th least affordable city for housing in the US. In the state, as housing costs rise and availability decreases at a rapid rate, individuals across the state are left without a home - a place to feel safe, a place to raise their families, a place to learn, grow and discover opportunity, a place to connect with their community.
We believe every American should live in a safe, nurturing environment with access to quality education, healthcare, public spaces and community services, and we’re on a mission to make this a reality in Arizona.

Home Matters® is a national movement that’s redefining the American Dream and uniting America around Home.
Our mission is to build awareness and raise funds for more affordable homes and thriving communities across the nation. We have a coalition of over 350 partner organizations – corporations, government agencies and nonprofits – working together on ambitious, but necessary goals over the next decade to make the New American Dream a reality for all.
